Style 300 for a great deal - debating
I have a really good deal on OEM style 300 rims with tires: $1,200 They were on my list, but not #1, also they are 20" and I wanted 21". So I'm debating if I should get them as they are only 3 weeks old, perfect condition, only $1200. Or should I wait and for sure pay more for 21", I might even have to go with replicas. The 300 do look good on 2009, 4.8 - Black Saphire, with running boards and aero kit, that's what I have. Any advices? Thanks all!! Last edited by Foxx; 09-06-2010 at 01:05 PM. |

Well, 21" tires are EXPENSIVE. Looking at Tire Rack, the Dunlop 21" tires run over $2,100 for a set of 4, and you have two choices in OE 21" sizes: Pirelli snow's and the Dunlops. The Dunlops are a 240 UTQG, so you'll be buying them much more often.
21" Tire Search Results Choosing 20" wheels/tires instead gives you a lot more options and more affordable options. 9 tires from $950 to $1,900. 20" Tire Search Results

If you're looking for winter/snow/slush tires you should be looking at 18's or stick with your current 19's. Looks are one thing but safety in the snow is something else. The higher the profile the deeper the tread = better traction.. Low wide tires are not the #1 choice for winter driving.. My $0.02

I agree w/scollins on the very pricey 21" tires...and, unless Gotham City has
different/better roads than it did for the quarter of century I was there, I would skip 21s, also. GL, mD

Agree with above...
The 300s will look great and that price for OEM wheels with new tires is amazing. If you don't buy them, please let me know since I would jump on that deal like a meth-head on a dead corpse.... X |

If they are OEM Style 300 they're not going to fit without boring the rears. The Rep's will fit x5 or x6 but the OEM fit only x6 natively.

Any idea how much a shop would charge to bore out the rears?
