Leather stain, what's the best way to remove?

I tried all the leather cleaner available in Target and Pepboys, and also BMW leather cleanser, to remove this stain, but it did not even fade slightly...

My dealer is suggesting to have a touch up leather paint, ($220 including labor), but at that price I'd rather have the whole plastic part & pocket replaced.....

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of issue? I am thinking $220 is bit steep for touch up paint job.... Do BMW sell only the plastic part circled below? What would be the cost???

i would suggest either the sonax foam leather cleaner or sonax interior cleaner. i used the interior cleaner on the bottom part of the driver door that gets a lot of shoe kicking and it easily made it look brand new!

If you're going to replace it anyway, I would try WD-40, Goo-Gone, and then Goof-Off if those don't work.

Try a little bit of mild detergent. Car wash soap or a little bit of dish soap. What is the discoloration? In the picture it looks like something was splashed onto it. Like coffee or something?

Have you tried lexol. I have had really good results. WD-40 is the bomb when it comes to doing anything but keeping bombs from rusting.

Oh, I don't think there is a bit of "leather" anywhere on that piece either....

Thank you all for the reply!

As suggested, I'd try some more strong cleaner & will replace if cleaning does not work. I have no idea know what caused the stain...

Thank you ard, it is exactly what I was looking for!!!!

(and no wonder "leather" cleaners did not work!!! )

Mine is 2008 3.0si with Beige interior & 52107170177 seems right.

Brake Cleaner will clean about anything (and is made from several of the chemicals you smell at the dry cleaners). I use it on rug stains sometimes on light interiors, typically doesn't hard plastics and vinyls, but test a small area as it has solvents in it and clean well with soapy water after to help get rid of the smell, but if it won't clean it, then probably not much will!

That pocket is as pleather as it gets (). Use something stronger as others have suggested. Maybe a degreaser like grease lighting or simple green...
