X5/M fenders on reg X5

Would it be possible to put the M front and rear fenders on a reg X5?
It looks like a separate part and probably is, seems to be an add on.
Has anybody done it?

You mean the extended fender flares. Yes search on that and you will find your answer

The answer that I received from parts people at two different dealerships (one that just looked at a parts diagram and one that researched it), the answer is: No, the flares from an E70 M or MSport package won't fit on an E70 regular.

If you find a different answer, please let me know. I'd like to get paintable flares for my 35d. People have said that they've painted prepped black flares, but I haven't seen any pictures.

My 2011 without the Msport package has the fender flares. They are not painted but they can be painted.

Theyre just normal fender flares like any 4.8L E70 with the sport package...

I am going to disagree with that. The fender flares on my 2011 50 are much larger than my 4.8 sport. I wouold say 3/4 inch wider. My 4.8 fender flares are straight up and down, the 50 have a pronounced flare.

All the WAF's (wheel arch finishers) attach to the car the same way, however, your problem isn't that the parts won't fit, the problem is that they won't line up with the bumpers and rocker panels on a 'reg' X5 at the ends. $$$$

Only 4.8 with sport package and 20" wheels came with the flares. My 2008 has flares that are most definately not up and down and are similar in size to those above.

Gotcha! My disconnect is my 07 came w/ 19"s. If foxx still wanted the flared look he should be able to purchase the flares for the 20" and have them painted. Should be a direct swap without any fit issues. Yes he will have to bet them painted but a quality shop will make them look good. Hell 15 years ago I would have done it myself but I hung up that career so I could own these cars instead of paint them.

If you don't have the extended flares on your sport because you did not come with 20" rims, Here is the info for the ones I was talking about and Noodlle55 mentioned above

"part #51770421056 for the kit. I got mine from Davis Auto Group for $300 shipped....." Here is a link to the picture of what I am talking about.
