Nice pic and pic links...living less than an hr from Deal'sGap, I've run it hundreds of times over the years, in cars and m'cycles.
Glad you "found" the Cherolhala Skyway and Rt 209 to Hot Springs, as they, and Rt 129 from Robbinsville into Deal'sGap area,
are some of the fabulous 2 lane blacktops here in Western NC, that I always link and pitch.

If you get a hooky day(s) during the week, all those roads are amazing on a low traffic weekday, vs the Zoo on weekends.
