Which ceramic window tint?

I'm trying to evaluate which ceramic window tint is best. Looking at reviews online, they rated the five best (in order) as:
  1. Huper Optik
  2. FormulaOne Pinnacle
  3. Llumar Axcess
  4. Johnston Insulatir
  5. Solar Gard Ultra
I've found an Orange County tint shop that works in Huper Optik and Solar Gard. I'm trying to get a better feel for the "hue" that each of these have. I prefer a grey hue over the blue hue or green hue.

I've heard good things about Llumar, but haven't seen it in person.

Is someone out there that has a great understanding of the tints and their respective hues?

Thanks for the feedback.

I have used Huper optik and Madico and have Formulaone on one of my current cars with gray hue. Formulaone is Llumar's premium brand or so. Happy with all.

Just got the clear bra this weekend...need to get windows tinted next week.

I have read about ceramic vs metalized films as well as all kinds of brands - 3M, Formula One Pinnacle series, Huber Optik.

After reading this forum and other sources on the net - I decided that the ceramic (doesn't bother with communication) is a good option along with the Formula one Pinnacle series.

Is it a good choice? any comments/suggestions

I have both Huper Optik and Formula One Pinnacle series. Huper Optik is definitely thicker and is easier to see outside from inside at night.

I know HO blocks more heat but isn't it metalized and causes communication interference or so as ppl say.

HO runs about 600 and Pinnacle is 350.

I just Pinnacle F1 installed yesterday on my X5 and 335i and I love it.

I have a friend w/ HO and he loves it as well. The only thing I don't like about HO is that there is a very slight blueish tint. The F1 does not and is more gray. (this is what ultimately made me decide to go w/ F1).

The NAV runs off the shark fin on the roof so that shouldn't be affected. I was quoted $550 for Huper Optik in NYC, but it's not like Arizona heat here, so I just went with a carbon tint for half the price.

Thanks Guys.

Pinnacle F1 it is this weekend. I'l looking for 30-35%.....any problems driving at night or with the blind spot?

Is 350 reasonable for F1 Pinnacle - all 4 windows and back windshield?

Hello there...

Anyone knows of a good security film/tint? The one that prevents the side windows from shattering upon break-in... I don't expect a bulletproof quality, something that will hold long enough to get out of dodge... and provide a nice tint, legally... or so within reason
