General Grabber HTS vs. Toyo Proxes S/T II Tires
Looking for your opinions regarding non-RFT all-season replacements for E70.
I am currently looking at General Grabber HTS with reference to performance, noisiness and tread life. Would anyone share his/her experience with General’s HTS or the above Toyo’s? Any other suggestions for other non-RFT all-season tires will be welcome. Thx.

I had the original Toyo S/T's and loved them, except for the noise. The S/T II's are much more quiet from what I have heard. No personal experience with the Generals.
I suggest looking at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. If they make them in your size, jump on them. They are rated really well on TireRack.com. I would have jumped on them if they were available in my sizes. I went with the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetricos and have been pretty happy so far. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. Continental ExtremeContact DWS look great, but thay are on back order right now (from USA) and the shop (here in Canada) would not even take my order since thay have no idea how long it may take to get them in.

I have have had three sets of toyos and the first one are my favorite. I have a set of the new ones on now and they are good. But the tread pattern of the old one was much better in appearance.
No idea on the Grabbers

I've been very happy with my General Grabbers that I purchased from TireRack.com
4 Qty. 255/50ZR -19 GENERAL GRABBER UHP XL $724.68 on 12/28/2009 - Tread life is still very good. Back in December of 2007 I bought a BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/P SPORT staggered set. Was not happy with them.

I don't do too many miles with mine but I do like the Toyos year round. Are you sure you want all-seasons in BC though?
