iPod USB adapter in center console

I got my 2011 X5d on order, question about the ipod adapter

If I do not order an ipod adapter, is there still the aux input / usb in the center console?

I know there is a usb inside the glovebox that allows me to upload music to the HD, but does the aux input in the center console come standard as well or do i need to pony up $400 for that one?

aux input is standard. USB is an option.

USB option is called 6FL
I would strongly suggest you to make sure that you have it from the factory. It is not easy to retrofit it at a later time.

6FL is different than the "ipod/usb adapter" option?

how much does that cost?

what do you get if you order the $400 "ipod/usb adapter"?
