wheels for winter tires?

hey guys, first post. registered here when i bought my car but completely forgot about it til rh71 brought it up. so, big thanks to him

anyways, im picking up a set of pirelli scorpion ice&snow runflats for my car. i didnt want to have to mount and dismount my current wheels, so i thought id shop for a dedicated set just for my winter tires. this local vancouver dealer offered me a great price for their last remaining set of 19" m6 wheels, problem is im not sure if it looks right (looks great on a m6 though) or if i was supposed to only use 18".

pic: i pulled this off the bmw site, the same color/223M wheels as mine. its a 2010 x5 30i msport. the first pic is exactly what my car looks like, and the 2nd is what the m6 wheels would look like (i got it off GIS and then photoshopped)

let me know what you guys think. im also looking for a snowboard carrier, and cant decide between the various thules and yakima models (they all seem the same to me?)

thx

ps. any vancouver x5 owners out there? are you getting winters or just chilling with the all seasons?
