Will E90 wheels fit E70 X5?
I don't know too much about wheels, just trying to figure this one out.
E90: 5x120 bolt pattern Offset: fronts can be 35-40, and the rears can be 20-25 or 35-40. E70: 5x120 bolt pattern Offset: I'm seeing different sets of numbers. For example these wheels (19 x 8.5 et35) : http://www.modbargains.com/Avant-Gar...ls-E90-E92.htm would they fit e70 35d w/sport package? Maybe I'm overlooking something... weight of the truck in comparison to the e9x could be too much for the rims? |

E90 wheels will not fit as is. Different center bore size. E90 wheels have 72.5 center bore. X5 has 74mm.
ECS tuning has adapters to change bore size. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-related-...4mm-72-5m.html |

^ thanks for the info. What is the purpose of different thickness? Act as a spacer?
Are there any other concerns other then the bore size? |

Are the E90 wheels capable of handling the extra weight of the X?

I saw a set of 19" m6 style rims for the e70 on eBay. Specs match up perfect but also concerned about the weight, especially since I have the diesel which weighs even more. |

It depends. Some wheels like OEM BMW or BBS wheels are strong and capable of handling more weight. I won't try cheap aftermarket wheels, as they are known to fail.

BMW did it to prevent from swaping wheels between models. Those wheels look great, I wish they make it 20x11 and 20x10. |
