There is no "maintenance warranty"...
there is a maintenance plan, and an Original Manufacturers Warranty. The maintenance plan will not cover product issues or failures, that part is easy. The damage you've posed looks like wear and tear. Will BMW say it is excessive (and perhaps due to a defect in the leather?) or will they say it is normal wear and tear due to a big owner and short trips with many entries? Looks like some mechanical abrasion might have contributed too.... A
