Picked Up Black X5 4.8 - looking to murder it out to match my R8

Should I buy new or paint the Kidney Grills Black? Has anyone painted the silver side steps black?

Any suggestions would be great.

I've seen the running boards painted. Can't remember the members name who did it, but do a search and you may find it.

Personally, I hate the murdered out look.. But to each their own!

Get the performance grills, they are pretty cheap and come all black. You might want something more durable on the side steps, like powdercoat, then have the wheels painted.

I personally like the all black look!

Removing all the rubber "dots" for powder coating doesn't sound fun.
