Installing Sirius/IPOD kit void warranty?

Hey All

I have a CPO 2007 X5 without IPOD Integration or Sirius and want to have both installed however the dealer prices are incredibly high (1k+)

Would installing it aftermarket void my warranty?

In order to install Sirius, all you need is the module and it pretty much snaps in. The dealer does have to do some programming which on my previous car was less than an hour of labor. As far as Ipod integration, I don't know about that.

Sirius Module Available

I have a sirius module that was installed in my '07 3.0i. Removed it before trading it in for a '10 E70 35d with Sirius factory installed. As stated above it's a simple install and I was charged 1/2 hour labor to code it. PM me if you're interested.

For the iPod interface you have two options.

1) get the kit that uses the existing cd changer cabling. iPod will sit in the glovebox and if you have the cd changer you won't be able to use it anymore. Coding will be required.

2) retrofit the 6fl iPod/USB interface. This option is pricey as it requires additional hardware and is somewhat dependent on the BMW assist telematics unit ... If you have that. Coding will be required.

There is no guarantee that it will work in the new X5's. They seem to be very specific on compatability.
