On the E53 yes, on the E70 in Europe, yes. In Canada since BMW knows better than we do the screen that is integrated into the tonneau cover with hooks into the roof liner is not available. You can get a barrier that works for larger pets and that is pressure based from weathertech. I had the screen on my E53 and a smaller dog could get around it.
