2011 5.0 winter wheel/tire details and photos.

I’ve been meaning to post up some winter wheel pics but haven’t had the time.

I picked up 19” MRR GT-1 wheels and aftermarket TPS sensors from Warren at Detail King. He’s a great guy to deal with. The tires I picked up locally (Pirelli Ice/Snow). I went with a staggered set up.

The snow performance is great, as expected and ride comfort is also very good. Overall I really like the look and overall am very satisfied.

My X had zero issues with the blizzard that we just encountered. I may add that I live in a very hilly area of Northern New Jersey.

I can tell you that the OEM 336 20’s with run flats are HEAVY! These GT-1’s with non run flat Pirelli’s are so much lighter than OEM than I can definitely feel a difference in steering effort.

Enjoy the pics. By the way, I painted something black in the front of my X, can you find it?

Safe Driving everyone!

Nice job on the painting of the "wings" in the air ducts. Are they removable or did you mask off everything before applying paint?

I had my eyes on these rims as well. Unfortunately they look small from your pics which must be due to the polished lip. Also, can you lmk how much you paid for them w/tpms shipped from detail king? Thanks

Thanks. Once I removed the entire piece, the "wing" comes right out. It's held in there with three tabs. I painted it using black bumper paint. 4 coats later and done.

The offset of these rims actually fills in the rear wheel arches pretty well. I'm running 285/45 out back.
