Conti DWS 20's on 214's Snow review

Following up on my previous review of Conti DWS

Had quite a few snow encounters and was amazed on how the X handled the snow.

I heard some bad reviews from friends and forum members about X snow performance.

About a foot deep snow with a trunk full of ski and snowboard stuff with two people in the car and full tank of gas, X just rolled over no slippage.
Last winter with stock RFT's i got a lot of slippage and got stuck once.

Few other instances with parking in deep snow, dry/wet and icy, no problems.

Very happy with overall performance dry/wet, comfort and road noise.

As of now have about 6k on them.

Great to hear, I've been hunting down DWS's in 275/40/20 size for over a month and they're sold out everywhere, 315's are available though... where did you get yours if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks... guess I'll have to wait until they become available again.

Thanks for the review... What happens if you get a flat and replacement tire is not available? (assuming it can not be patched)

How are they in the dry with regards to handling and steering? I dug up your previous review, and you only mentioned the improved ride.

I had planned to switch to the Continentals upon delivery last month, but because they weren't available (and my trips to the mountains have since not materialized), I am now getting used to the Dunlops. I don't find the ride or noise objectionable, and really like how the Dunlops handle in the dry and wet. Having second thoughts on making the switch now, especially if I will sacrifice dry handling.

Fronts out of stock @ Tiger Direct as well.

Emailed Gary @ Tire Rack earlier this week. His best guess was at least another 90 days.

My new Conti DWS Rears are getting dusty in the garage waiting for the fronts.
