Pledge/Endust safe for wheel cleaning, clearcoat safe?
A few weeks ago I used WheelWax. Does not seem to help much with brake dust repel, but it has made subsequent cleanings with a microfiber cloth much faster and easier!
My Mom said Spraying some Pledge or Endust on a microfiber cloth/sponge (not directly on the wheel) is great for wheel cleaning. I tried it! Just sprayed some Lemon Pledge on a dry microfiber rag and wiped each wheel. Brake dust just slid off! Easy and the wheels looked so shiny and felt really smooth! Is this safe? Will this harm the clearcoat? Remove the WheelWax? Thanks! |

I have used Wheel Wax, and others, in the past and did not see a difference with it. I was highly suspect any type of wheel wax being able to stand up to the heat, especially on the fronts, and I remain convinced they can't.
I have used Zaino Z6 on my wheels just to make them shine a little better and it does do that. But like I said, I am sure as soon as I hit the brakes a few times and the heat builds, any protective properties from the Z6 disappear. No experience with Pledge. |

Pledge is my secret motorcycle polish!
I used to use all varieties of expensive crap, but Pledge on a microfiber towel (both available in bulk at Costco, btw) works great! Definitely safe, though I'd make some effort to keep it off the brake rotors. |

) on the my bumper tonight....WOW, it felt like glass and was so silky! The pledge even says anti-dust. Anything anti-dust on Alpine White would be a miracle!!So Pledge is paint safe as well? A miracle in a can for $2.99???
