I obviously agree with that

I'm very happy with my "metallic ferric gray" paint job

The first picture is the ferric gray. The second (with amber reflectors) is the original silver.

Those look great Brian5. Have any pictures of the whole car? I just picked up a 07 Space Grey 4.8 and am looking to throw some new rims on it (has 19" on it). thanks!!

Those look great. Have a local shop due them or ship them out to get them painted?

I did a lot of research, and it has been discussed quite on xoutpost, but it was impossible to find the paint code that BMW uses for it's "ferric gray" wheels that it sells. I felt that I needed to either buy new wheels or paint my existing OEM -- I went the cheaper route.

I've been fortunate enough to not have anything to do with body shops in CT so I spoke to Stephen Smith who goes around to the local BMW, Lexus and some other dealers to do rim repair. He just figured out the best match to a metallic ferric gray and did the clear coat too.

Some people say powdercoating is the only or best way to go but I didn't find that necessary. My wheels could not look better.

Check out my sig..you can search my name for more pics in black...

I would defiantly recommend getting them powdercoated instead of painted. I have had them over a year now and they look brand new still. I do a lot of driving as well 20k+ a year mostly I95 hwy...I paid $125 a wheel to have them done in Miami ...
