I'm on top of it! I already decided with the fender eliminator, HID. I'm not familiar with the red rim tape?

I had about 6 bikes or so when I was young. Rode quite a few years when I lived in Europe as well....but it's been a very long time since I last rode...so I consider myself sort of new...with previous experience.

I'm 41 with two kids and young at heart but pretty mature...so I'll keep it in check! Don't want my kids growing up fatherless

The bike IS staying in rain mode for a loooong time!

I don't think I've ever read a less than glowing review on this bike and in its debut year in the FIM Superstock 1000 World Championship (2010) it blew the Japanese and Italian bikes off the track. Over the ten rounds of the championship, Ayrton Badovini on his BMW S100RR won nine of the ten rounds and was second in the last round for a total of 245 points .... next best was Maxime Berger (Honda CBR1000RR) with 147 points.

Nwilliams you won't be disappointed, congrats on the purchase! I was the same way and NO, the excitement won't fade once you get it. Enjoi and be safe, you've chosen the best production superbike available. Ohh and more good news... MCN just named it winner of the 2011 liter bikes for it's second year in a row. Kawasaki failed at beating it.
