X5 E70 3.0sd Turbo
I have a 3.0d twin turbo X5.
Is there an easy way to check if the small turbo is working correctly, i am having a few problems with pulling away from standing and very low MPG when traveling at low speeds. It has been suggested that it could be the turbo and have seen some people having the connectors falling out. can this be checked easily? where are they ? thanks |

You don't say what model year, or whether it is under warranty. If it is, I would take it to the main dealer first.
If not, the first step would be to get the codes read, by either the dealer or a shop with the correct tooling. Any fault codes registered will point the way to any problems. Trying to troubleshoot without those codes is not worth it.
