You should be able to do much better than that. My buddy just bought his 2011 X5 diesel premium, technology package, convenience package, heated front and rear seats, 3rd row seating...MSRP close to $62-63k, he got it for just under $51k.

When I bought for 2011 X5 in December 2010...I got $2500 Holiday Credit, $3500 BMW Eco Credit and I qualified for the $1800 tax credit. I traded in a 2010 7 Series with only like 5000 miles on it. Needless to say I was upside down...so all this "cash back" filled the gap. I drove away in my 2011 X5 35d with a nice lower payment. Also with the DOUBLE mpg the X5 gets over the 750 and $800 a year less AAA car insurance...I felt so good about my trade!

A few folks have been burned with that. They weren't prepared. And 2% off is a really bad deal. |

To prove, not that I have to but in the interest of credibility: bimmerfest - BMW Forums - View Single Post - Rate my Deal bimmerfest - BMW Forums - View Single Post - 2011 X5-D deals I did have one dealer (on phone, about 150 miles away), offer me just the $3500 eco and no other discount. He tried to tell me that was a 'great deal'. I said my hasty goodbyes. Two or three days later (by then I had already bought my X5 locally) the manager called me to try to work a deal. Classic case of 'day late and a dollar short'. I think I did ok at about 7% off, particularly given this was the only D at this dealer, and one of (I think) only 2 in our fairly large metro area, and it was the last week of December. I made many phone calls, near and not-so-near. I considered ordering but didn't have faith the $2500 financing credit would hold out, and of course the govt credit would be gone. I paid a little over $2k over 'invoice', which includes maco, ad, and doc fee for the purposes of my calculation. |

I wasn't commenting on your deal, I was making sure the OP didn't think 2% was the norm
