Tire Pressure Warning, Cant go to main menu

Hi friends,

Im new here. My name is Adera. I just bought a used 2007 e70 x5 xdrive with 75000 miles on it, and started to repair and restore all the broken and faulty parts.

I live in indonesia btw. It came with stock 18” wheel and a bad and damaged RFT tires. So i replace the wheel and a tire with a 20” breyton and a regular non RFT tires.

As i expected, the TPMS indicator lights up. And Tire Pressure Loss warning shows up on the screen.

I already know how to reset and confirm the tire pressure while researching before. I know i have to go through the menu and confirm the tire pressure and stuff.

The problem is, whenever i press the ignition on, the warning screen appears, and i cant go back to main menu whatever i do. As far as i know, i just have to press the menu button once, and then it’ll take me back to the main menu and reset the tire pressure sensor. But the tire pressure loss warning stays on my screen and wont go away.

Is there anyway to fix it? Or is there a way to disable the tire pressure sensor permanently with a code?

Hope to hear from the experienced here. Or anyone. Please help.

Best regards,
Adera

You are running a 20" wheel on one rim and an unknown tire size?????

YOU MUST HAVE THE SAME **EXACT** SAME DIAMETER TIRES ON EACH OF THE 4 WHEELS.

Real damage can occur.

Dont worry about pressure warnings for now...

Oh, the OD on the tire should be 29.0 inches

The 18" rim uses a 255/55-18 which is 29.0

The 19" uses 255/50-19, but is ALSO 29.0"

All stock OE BMW rim sizes came with different size tires so that ALL of them have a 29.0" OD

FWIW.
