We don't have salt on our roads either but it did not stop rust forming on the undercarraige of my son-in-law's here in Brisbane and I drive on the beach every second weekend in the X5 and its fine.

If the Boxster gets wrecked or the motor grenades, I'll replace it with an MGA or an old Triumph, or maybe an Exige. If the Vette ever gets totaled, I'll replace it with a pre-owned Aston (my wife's dream car) - but otherwise, I'm pretty happy with what I've got. I don't really see the point in replacing the X5 - it's a good people hauler, a good stuff hauler, and the diesel should last forever.

I just got my X5, so I am definately responding from the compliment my ride side. M3 to S4, even though the M3 is due for a new model I still really like the looks. And as for the new S4, well I really dont need to say anything there do I....
