X5 LCI ignition problem

My 6 months old '10 X5 3.0d LCI (Australian Model) run into trouble yesterday evening.

I have waiting my daugther outside her ballet class, while I'm waiting inside the car, I have the windows & sunroof open, turn off the engine, eject the keyfob but still leave it in the slot. After 15min when my daughter finish her class, I took out the keyfob and leave the car to take her (I didn't lock the car and left all the windows open). When I come back & try to start the engine, the car just keep cranking but never start. The whole car shaking seriously with loud cranking noise. The cranking keep continue even though I release the start button. I press the start button again then the cranking stop.

I have try to start again but same thing happen. I took out the keyfod, reinsert, not helping. Lock the car, unlock & restart for few time, not helping as well. I finally gave up and call road side assistant, while talking in the phone for about 3 minute, I insert the key again and start, this time it happen ! Everything just back to normal like nothing being happen. The idrive also didn't recorded any error or mulfunction message.

I have call the dealer service advisor this morning, he told me if this is a one off "computer error" causing difficulty to start, I don't need to take the car back to checking. To me it is just not feeling right, will it happen again ?

Does anyone facing the similar situation before ? Or I'm just the unlucky one ?

rgds,
WS Lee

say it happened more than once - I would not take no for an answer - I doubt that cranking multiple times without turning over and the car shaking qualifies as a computer error. That sounds more serious.
