Rock the Vote! - Help Pick an Exterior Color for an Oyster Interior

So if we move forward with a 35d purchase (depends on final negotiations and whether my parents are actually buying a 35i now too) we know the interior color and pkgs. Now it’s time to decide the exterior color. I thought it would be fun to turn it into a vote and get forum feedback.

Interior Color: Oyster
Packages/Options:
- Sport with 20” rim
- Basically everything else but vented seats, Nappa seats, and smartphone integration

In no particular order:
1. Platinum Gray Metallic

2. Sparkling Bronze Metallic

3. Space Gray Metallic

4. Black Sapphire Metallic

Sparkling Bronze all day long. If I would have ordered, that would be my choice. Space Grey, which I have, would be 2nd.

Good luck!

Interesting dilemma. A bit off point, but I like Oyster with Vermillion Red and Deep Sea Blue. I like Cinnamon with the colors that you have listed.

If I were forced to answer your question as it was written, I would say Black Sapphire.

I also think Cinnamon looks better with most of the colors you list except the Sparkling Bronze, which I think looks best with the Oyster interior, but I don't particularly like the Bronze. I think it would look great with Deep Sea Blue or Vermillion Red also.

First choice from your list would probably be Sapphire also if I had to choose, but I would rather see it with Cinnamon or Tobacco is also pretty sweet as a special order!

For me, easily it would be the black. That's a great combo color. Deep Sea Blue and Oyster would also be great. And I wasn't aware there's a platinum gray now... so out of touch I am. I think 1 & 3 are swapped though.

Sparkling Bronze would be my personal first choice....

Black is awesome but run from it if you are the least bit OCD about appearance...

It will not look nice 5 mos out of the MN calendar year..

I had Space Grey on my X6 and really liked it too..Didn't show the dirt either

Agreed. Black by far looks the most cohesive and nice when clean. The black plastic blends with the black paint and it has the sharpest contrast with the white seats. That’s the reason I have a black F150. With that color and all the chrome it looks seriously sharp. Problem is, in MN, 5 months out of the year black is a ugly gray due to all the road salt/snow mix.

I kept it on the option list because of how good it looks but it’s looking more like the decision is between Sparkling Bronze and Platinum Graphite. Not sure that Space Gray is dark enough for the Oyster seats. The upside to Sparkling Bronze is that it’s very different. Nearly every X5 I see or BMW for that matter is a shade of Gray or Black. It might be nice to be different, but then again being different gets old too and I wonder if I’ll still like SB in two years. Oh choices…it’s tough. I know what would make this simple though. If BMW would let me get Carbon Black Metallic. Then I’d be done with the color choice.

I have both the Black Sapphire (335) and Platinum Gray (X5) with Oyster and I agree with the OCD comment with the black but it really does look great. That said, IMO the Plat Gray is the best alternative to all other colors. The sparkle in Plat Gray along with the contrast with the Oyster is both elegant and functional in most weather conditions. We had some snow around Denver that dirtied up the vehicle but it was "ugly" looking as the black looks when dirty. You really have to see it to appreciate it

Deep sea blue ! Although I'm biased as DSB / Oyster is what I've gone for!
