Tech Package: Top View

Ok, so I got my car last sat so I've been playing around with some settings. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to enable the top view feature. I think I did it one time. From the manual, it looks like you're suppose to enable it with the button at the bottom of the radio. I see the camera viewing the back and on the right side, it's just the pdc kind of view. Is that pdc view it? That's the top view? I could've sworn I actually saw it on the big screen (when I did something, but can't replicate it) where it showed me the top view but it didn't show me red, yellow, green, etc like the pdc view I see on the right. Am I daydreaming that I saw that? Or is that pdc view it?

Yes, it the first button from the left (I have tech and premium package).

Once it comes up, there is a menu on the left of the screen that allows u to toggle between top view and backup camera. Both Top view and PDC come on the screen at the same time.

oh...i see. so that means i can't have the top view while on reverse. now i know when i saw it. when i hit the button when i was not in reverse. i'm guessing there's no way for the pdc view (the right split screen view) to make that the top view and maintain the back up camera view. to me that would be useful. if you can only use the top view when you're not in reverse, is that even useful still?

I believe the way it works is this:
When in reverse, the default is rear view. You can toggle to top view by selecting the top left icon (press the controller).
If you just press the lower left button in front of the console, top view is the default, but you can toggle to rear view.

The other icons enable the lines in the rear view.

When you are in reverse and you toggle between the two views by pressing down on the Idrive controler. I would advise you read the manual, it has great info and you may find items that you car has that you do not know about..
