Rear bumper "popped"

I don't know if any of you have experienced this or not. A couple of days ago I noticed that my rear bumper "popped" out by itself from the gap where the bumper and the body connects. I noticed it because I heard the popped sound when I picked up my stuff from the trunk. The gap is not big but it is noticeable. Have any of you seen this before?

I have a 2011 X5 35i with m sport pack.

I will post a photo soon.

Thanks in advance.
