Ipod disconnects to radio

Is this a common problem that the y cable diconnects randomly? Mine switches to the radio mid song when listening to my ipod. Sometimes right after i go over a bump. Could be a bad connection maybe?

The connection does not seem to be prone to coming loose, however..

It DOES seem prone to being difficult to secure it in the first place.
If it sounds like crap, you know it's loose - it will work, but it sounds AWFUL.

I know they offer(ed?) a snap-in for the iPod for the cradle, but I was waiting on a new one. That would be a much better solution for me, for sure. The cable and iPod now takes up too much room in that little bitty space they call a center console. I call it "the sunglass holder."

Some people got y connectors that were not making good connection. Ask for a new one.

Dealer did some programming and it works like a charm now.....
