Do you mind telling us what tint brand and model? Saying it cost 150$ is like saying I paid 50k for an x5, is that a good deal?

I am about to tint, but I just want to make sure I don't ruin my radio reception.

I think part of the rear defroster is used for the FM and maybe AM antenna. When I turn my rear defroster on, the radio gets staticy. I've yet to take it to the dealer for this but that's how I know it either is interfering with radio reception or part of the rear defroster is used as the antenna.

I believe the shark fin is exactly what you said - navigation and satellite related things - such as Sirus radio and BMW Assist. Could be wrong though.

Actual tint materil is not expensive at all!!! No matter what kind you choose ., it's labor what is kicking in. And $150 is still expensive, $100 in Los Angeles all windows including windshield and lifetime warranty!!! So don't be surprised if quoted cheep for tinting it doesn't mean u will be getting bad service with bad quality of work
