Power steering leak

Hi All,

I have a 2007 X5 4.8i. Last week I received a steering malfunction message on the dash (attached). I checked the power steering level and sure enough it was low. I topped it off with CHF 11S and the message went away. Two days later, received the message again so I had to add more fluid. At first glance, I didn't notice any visible leaks, but it clearly exists. Is this common and where does this leak normally occur?

I guess it depends on where the leak is, but is this normally an expensive fix? I want to bring it to a local shop to get it checked out because it seems to be a pretty fast leak. Can anyone recommend a reputable bmw repair shop in the north jersey area (bergen county)?

Thx!
