Titanium Silver vs. Deep Sea Blue Metallic?
Is the DSB almost as hard to maintain as black - showing dust, every little mark and swirls over time? |

I used to have a dark maroon 2001 e39. Looked great after a wash. Looked like crap when it got dirty. Swirlies built up too.

Get the silver if you're going to keep so long IMO. I've had numerous blues, and scratches show up readily. What about space grey?
Cheers,

Anyway, with PG, it looks good in a dignified sort of way. It hides dirt pretty well. But it gets lost in parking lots in a sea of other grey SUV/Vans. Also, it doesn't seem to garner the Big-a**ed BMW Respect that my Topaz blue E53 did. I found a whole lot more people making questionable moves on the car that hadn't done it before. Perhaps grey blends into the pavement? I have a DSB X6 now. I'm feeling those nice blue vibes coming at me when I approach the car from a distance. And its getting some Big-a**ed BMW Respect too! |

Get the Tiefseeblau (Deep sea blue) metallic for the long-run. It's not common to see one and when I do, it's a gorgeous colour in person. At least it has some personality.........all the silvers, grays, and blacks are so *yawn* it's just another footballer mom's car.

Depends on where you live. Here in Tampa, Ive hardly seen any X5s in silver. Ive seen all black, blue, and white.
Silver is actually not so common as it use to be. Since the X5 is not available in Montego or lemans blue, I decided to get the silver myself.

Yeah - it does probably depend on where you live, but I can tell you that here in Chicago, silver cars of every make and model are EVERYWHERE. I've been noticing car colors a bit more over the past week or so due to this thread, and was in a parking lot yesterday where I could see 14 silver cars withinin 50 feet of where I was standing.
