Strange Clicking SOund on X5 4.8

I've noticed a strange sound coming from either the steering wheel area or just to the left of the steering wheel. It's a sound similar to keys jingling together. Except, I don't have any keys anywhere. I Have comfort access and keep the key in the center armrest. My car is now out of warranty so I don't want to take it to the dealer w/o some insight as to what's going on 1st.
