Custom Radar (STiR Plus) & Laser Interceptor Install

Went with Beltronics STiR Plus instead of Passport 9500ci for radar and Laser Interceptor for the laser jammer. The STiR plus is the same exact hardware/manufacturer without the laser shifters so you save a few hundred if you are getting your own laser jammers.

The radar detector is absolutely amazing, I was so tired of my V1 with false alarms in my M3s. This thing even warns you of red light and speed cameras with voice before approaching. False alarms are down to 20%!

blue dragon will become famous soon enough
The sensors should not be placed behind the grill. You should hook up with some people from radardetector.net to do some local testing.

Are your LI jammer heads installed with the "bubbles" towards the center of the car or towards the outside of the car? They look like they could be pointed inwards, which would not be the optimal positioning. Looks great by the way! I love the interior set-up.

The sensors are behind the grill but the grill is cut. One of the pictures shows the radar detector behind the grill, which does not need a clear view.

I did notice the bubbles, talked to Laser Interceptor and they should be on the outside. I'm taking it back to get it switched.

The whole thing comes out to $2200 installed.
