Got a 740Li Loaner Today

My dealer ran out of all their loaners (usually just 3 Series). They gave me a Jet Black 740Li with the Oyster/Black Nappa leather. I usually don't like light interiors but as people have mentioned on the Oyster combo only the seats are light colored the rest is black--it's not too bad. I have it for the next 24 hours so I might need some Grey Poupon for the back seat .

Side note: while waiting, the guy before me was animate to the loaner desk people that he "had to have a nav unit" in his car. I was like, really, guy, for 1/2 day you can't go without one or just use your phone ? Well apparently he pissed them off enough because they brought up the 740 that has a nav of course and gave it to me when I was behind him in line(he didn't see that I got it). If he had just not complained so much he would have gotten the 740.

Very nice. Enjoy the ride.

As for light interiors, I love them. If I was leasing or trading every couple years that would be the way to go. I choose black because no reasonable amount of cleaning can keep a light interior looking good after 5+ years living in an area with rain, snow, etc...

I'm lucky to even get a 3-series loaner at all even with a 2-week lead time appt. Had to Enterprise it last time. Dodge Journey.

Yeah I guess I got lucky I usually just get the 3 Series. I've had to put the chassis setting on it to "Sport" as the "Comfort" setting was a little too Cadillac-ish riding for me ha. The LED dash is pretty sweet. All in all though I prefer my 4.8--I know they are 2 different cars but for the same $90K give me the X5M all day.
