I had them in 235/45-17 size on my E39 M5 when I lived in PA. They worked surprisingly well in snow and ice for an all season tire. We had a number of steep hills in the area and I never felt like I was sliding. Getting moving from a stop was the biggest challenge they faced, but that was not unreasonable with 400hp and RWD. I had run Nokian Hak R snows in Maine prior to the DWSs. The Nokians had slightly better deep snow and ice traction, but were worse in the wet and far worse in the dry.
