Can the running boards be removed? I searched and saw a long thread on it but couldn't figure out what the conclusion was Thanks |

I think so but you're going to have a lot of holes and gunk underneath, and you may need to replace the rocker panel with an entirely new one that was built for "no running boards".

We had a customer buy a new E70 with running boards and decide she would rather not have them a week later (tore her stockings or something to that affect), our new car department had me swap them with the OEM running boards from a new unit in stock. They did this at no cost to her as they basically upgraded the new in stock one making it easier to sell. I wouldn't call this normal, but definitely worth asking your dealer.
