X5 (e70) winter tires???

I was wondering if anyone could recommend which tire is better. I am looking at either the Dunlop Grandtrek WT M3 ROF or the Blizzak LM-60 RFT in 255/55/18? Thanks for any suggestions. They are roughly the same price on Tire rack.

They are both excellent. Blizzak is a slightly better. i have owned both tires.
Blizzak does not make run flat snow for X5. That is why I purchased Dunlop for my X5 back in 2007.

I had Blizzaks on our Mercedes GL

I have a set of the Blizzaks and I am quite happy with them. Very grippy on snow, OK on ice. Bridgestone has started making a run flat Blizzak in the 18" size. The only other thing I would suggest is to get them mounted on rims, that way you can change them over yourself if you want.

I have the LM-60s in the RFT, on a second set of wheels. They did awesome last year (first winter I had them), in everything Chicago dished out, including one snow event with several feet of snow. Can't say enough good things about them. They do better in snow than any tire I've ever had, including other snows (earlier Blizzak variants) and including very aggressive all-terrain tires.
