Sorry fellas, seems like a step in the wrong direction to me.

Glad you like it though!

OK, with 25mm H&R spacers on rear (no spacers on front):

After the hundreds(?) of pictures that I've seen of E53's with style 87's, it seems an odd combination.

In my opinion, the point of a staggered setup is also to have a fat tire in the rear (strictly for looks, unless you're supercharged, then it may be warranted). It's not just to poke the wheel out when looking at it from the side and/or front angle.

Something about pulling up behind an E70, or an E53, with fat rear tires looks badass. However, if I pulled up behind yours and saw not-so-fat wheels/tires sticking out a little too far, I'd think you're a ricer.

Sorry for reviving a old thread but this setup is straight 🔥 I wish there would be more pictures of the staggered setup. Host? 😀

Style 87

I still have The BMW OE style 87 wheels. They are available and for sale.

To rotate, or not to rotate. That is the question.

I thought BMW specifically says NOT to rotate tires. No?

https://www.cartalk.com/content/owne...-my-bmw-i-says

I have run staggered setup, they could not be rotated. Great for handling and performance. Summer fun tires. Pretty much useless for long distance, commuting or bad weather.

'Square,' is better suited for distance and commuter applications.

Tennis shoes vs dress shoes. Not afraid to get my tennis shoes a little dirty. ;-)
