Beeps every 30 Seconds
I've been searching but haven't found a direct answer. I did see one suggestion to disconnect the battery for a while to see if it resets itself. I'll try that this evening when my wife returns home from work. Any suggestions?

There is a ghost in it. Get a old preist and a new preist and chant "the power of christ compels you" over and over.
This will not stop the beeping but it will be pretty awesome and may make the beeping a bit less annoying. OK seriously, do you have comfort access? If so you may have the key too close and if you have the car set to auto lock after not being driven for x minutes it is possible this is unlocking and relocking I suppose, just a thought to try and get the ideas going. Good luck

I should try the preist thing...couldn't hurt!
I'll try to take the keys in the house to see if that changes the symptoms. We've had this car for several years now and out key habits haven't changed. Worth a try, however.

These X5's are amazing vehicles. My wife is at work and it's still beeping in the garage!
Garage door openers with battery backup also beep every 30 seconds when their batteries go bad. Am I glad that I didn't take it into the dealer!
