2009 X35d in for service...again
I have a US spec model here in Germany. The car has been in twice this week because of the CEL has appeared - but no codes are firing! When I left the car with them yesterday, they had it all day. BMW in Munich told them to reprogram the vehicle. Before they handed me the keys last evening, the service advisory took it for a spin. As soon as I got in the car, the CEL came on again. At that point I was ready to drive it into the river. Has this happened to anybody else? I have to bring it in again next week. Good thing I am going on a business trip so I can leave it with them for the entire week. |

I cannot understand how a CEL can set yet there is no code stored.
Not a 'current' or 'active' code, but any code at all.... Cant do a damn thing without a code. And every bmw I've seen stores a code when it sets the CEL. Dealers will reset all codes, then run it to see what shows up- if they did this then sure, there are no current codes- but you want the codes read immediately and want them written down on the shop notes!
