Paddle shift
I've just seen on a UK forum that MY2012 X5s appear to come with paddle shift. The option is "7XA - Auto Transmission M Sport Leather Steering Wheel with Gearshift Paddles" apparently and it was added by BMW not as an option. This is on a UK spec 40d. I haven't seen this mentioned on here yet so thought I'd let people know. Of course, this doesn't mean for sure that it's in BMWNA models as well but I'd be surprised if not.

I for ONE would LOVE to do this as an upgrade ... seems simple enough the momemntary switches are just on the steering wheel as well OR implace of the one on the "STICK" replacing the WHEEL is just a few bux .. but easy to do... making the paddles work now that would be awesome !!
