Feedback from my experience with Paul Bodnar from Santa Barbara BMW.

I just wanted to pass on my feedback regarding my experience with Paul from SB BMW.

Let’s face it, I’m sure car sales people aren’t the most liked people in the world. I’ll say Paul is the exception in my book. In researching and buying my X5, I reached out to Jon from SB BMW, whom came highly recommended via this forum. Paul was Jon’s out of office contact. As everyone knows, I started with the ‘bmwconfig’ tool to research pricing etc.

From the start, Paul was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I gave him the exact details in what I wanted in my car and a very short timeline. To make matters even more complicated, I wanted to build a 2013 X5, however it turns out that no one is building the 2013 X5s anymore. Instead, I had to change my search to existing inventory. Paul quickly provided me a list of cars that fit my exact criteria and we settled on a price in a matter of minutes. Thus avoiding the dreaded negotiation and alleviating any concerns that I was getting ripped off. On top of this, Paul notified me that I would not only receive the ECO credit, but also a loyalty credit and new build out credit. This saved me an extra $2k.

At the end of this process, I was more than pleased with the level of service and price that Paul was able to offer. My advice if you are looking for a new BMW, is goto Paul.

I hope this didn’t sound too much like a sales pitch, but I’m definitely more than impressed and wanted to share my experience.

I think your post belongs in the Dealer Info section.

It is refreshing to hear about positive experiences instead of all of the dissatisfaction commonly expressed. Thanks for posting, even though I'll never buy a car in CA!
