Spare wheel

Morning to all.

I have two identical sets of wheels / tyres for my E70. Both are:- rear 315 35 20 & front 275 40 20.
If I carry one of the 275 40 20's with me as a spare on a long journey, will it fit OK on the rear if required as well as the front? Any offset problems etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Rik

Why don't you jack up the car and change the wheel. Then rotate it by hand and see if there are any obstructions.

Very good and sensible suggestion but due to back problems I can't risk it at the moment. I just wondered if someone else had tried it before.

Apologies. I really don't see why it would not fit. I mean, a 315 fits OK. Then why wouldn't a 275 fit. You might have a problem finding somewhere to carry it in the car though. Plus, it would look smaller, but it would get you home.
