Question Front Driver Brake Grind...

on my '09, for about a month now I have been hearing what sounds like a high pitch whine/grinding sound, and brakes squeal when coming to a stop. I finally got sick of it, since it seems to be getting worse, and jacked it up and spun the driver and passenger wheels by hand.

The passenger side spins freely, no issues or grinding and stops under its own weight. The driver side however, is definitely grinding and stops (obviously) spinning due to the friction. I believe this is what is causing the whiny sound in the cabin when driving.

Ive had this vehicle for about a month now...when i test drove it I acutally did notice some kinda sound but it was much less noticeable and the sales guy just told me he couldnt hear it...what else would he say

Before I take it in, anyone know if this is a brake pad issue, or caliper or rotor? (fyi: the service info says brake pads are good to 70k, im at 26k)
