I know it looks cool and may be necessary in certain environments, but I'm curious if in the end folding mirrors much more often results in premature breakdowns. I mean, BMW isn't really famous for reliability of its electric parts. On the other hand, in my previous 325 the rear windows were rarely opened and yet one required new regulator...

Right, it's still your choice to fold the mirror or not after mirror coding.
And there is another advantage of this mirror coding, the mirror will be unfolded automatically once the door is unlocked, it's more intuitive comparing the stock behavior of pressing button to unfold it. Last edited by miamipanther; 11-16-2011 at 02:50 PM. |
