Traded the 02 E53 3.0 in for this beast! Very nice ride with lots and lots of bells and whistles. The color is Tobacco and actually looks really good in person. I don't know what it doesn't have besides running boards and heads up?
My wife's Bday present ...

Congrats. I came from an '01 e53 3.0. What are details on it like price, mileage, CPO, etc ?

48000 miles w 2yr 24000 extended warranty w option to extend another year 36,000 miles.
I paid 38000 out the door and the dealer gave me 11000 on my 02 trade.
I do have a dull clunking over small bumps that I hope the dealer can look at before the factory warranty is up. Gonna be close though ...lol
Some other things are the inner tail lights have slight condensation buildup.

Not perfect but a big upgrade and I love all the technology and the sound of that V8.

So not a BMW warranty, but a private (3rd party) warranty? Bummer.

The SALESMAN told you that, right? Did you also just buy it based on him saying "it's a gunin', pretty much bumper to bumper"?

And you never read the policy? No idea how claims are handled, etc, etc.

I have no idea if this warranty is worth what you paid, nor if it gives you decent coverage- or even if the company behind it is still in business...BUT (and this is the important part) neither do you.

Dealers sell some real garbage- even though they can sell a BMW backed, 100k warranty- they sell these 3rd party ones because they can may 1500-2000 on the sale! (ie 100% markup)

Good points ... Hopefully this X is a good one like my last one was with over 110000 miles on it. I read it and it covers a lot of items including the electronics which is important in this car.
