Looking at two different oem rubber mats. Which one to purchase?
Home Page > ES#120764 E70/71 X5./X6 Rubber Floor Mats - Front (Savanah Beige) - 51470416692 (Have not seen a picture of this mat in a car yet) First, if you have either one in your car, please post a picture. I would truly appreciate it. Second, can these lay right over the current carpet mat or would I have to actually take out the carpet mat to use these? Again, if you could please help me with some personal pics, I would appreaicte that. |

I had to make same decision - went with option A above. I think that option B is actually more attractive *when clean*. Option A looks decent when dirty to me - have them in 2 other BMWs.
Remove carpeted mats, then put these down - do not lay them over. No pics - don't have car yet ; ) Good luck. |

Get the first one.
My dad purchased the second one for the 325i and they're not as versatile, nor hold as much mud/crud as the first one, which I still have on the X3. ALWAYS remove the carpeted mat, and install the rubber floor-mat specific hooks (should be provided) so that the floor mat doesn't slip forward. |

I'll try and get a picture of B up for you by tomorrow. I had A in my old 3series, but prefer the look and feel of B.

I have Option A also, and believe they are superior to Option B. If you have a sand beige interior, might I suggest that you consider getting the black rubber mats? I did this in my old 330i and they were much easier to keep clean, and provided a nice contrast with the carpet. Seeing as there is a lot of black plastic in the car, it actually looks quite good.

Do they make a mount for the 'A mats' that goes through the mounting hole in the mat that has the screw in anchor (as shown on the second ones)?????

Yes, it comes with the hooks that screw into the carpet.

Why don't you consider a floor liner?

Get option A. Fitting is Really bad with Option B.
