Thumbs up New (To me) e70

Hey guys,

Just purchased an 08 cpo x5 4.8i sport w/ 20's for $41k with 43k miles. Grey with black... Traded my 335 coupe, since we are expecting our first child... I also have a x3 sport, so I am familiar with bimmers, for that, most name brands...

I have tried to search, (no luck) but do we have a DIY section on the e70 forums as we had on e90post?

Thanks in advance...

Ak

Welcome!

Yes the DIY section is actually titled "how to" on the upper menu bar.

Post pictures! I love that color with the 20s.

Naz,

Thanks for the link, here are a couple of pics of the X5 and X3... The car has not been cleaned, since I got it last night, so the "official" delivery will be Tuesday... Also, BMW will pay up to $500 for 2 payments!

Congrats. Looks like you got it at Classic up in Plano. The tread looks a little low on the fronts from the pics--did they not replace them or are they within state specs ? I know on mine they replaced all 4 (I bought mine in Los Angeles at Beverly Hills BMW).

FYI "CPO Spec" is 50% or greater on tread depth.

OP, you should have received a CPO checklist with that car.

Hey guys, thanks for looking out, Yes it was from Classic, Plano and I do have to take it in on Monday to get some things fixed.... I have dealt with Classic since my 95 M3 in 1995! (Pat Arnold is my Service guy)

I guess when they got the truck in, did not have had a chance to fix a few things,

1) All 4 rims are scratched, so they will fix/replace them
2) Door Sill,
3) Couple of scratches, hood and door,
4) Plastic front Bumper Cover replaced,
5) and a few minor little quirks here and there...

But Overall, I traded my 08 CPO, 335 Coupe, (purchased in February) same Dealership) and that was Prestine when I got it, and they will make this one like that also... But I will be on there ass about the tires... (I saw the Price for replacement)

Also,(HERE I GO AGAIN) I wanted to get Running boards, Bright Angel Eye Rings, Rear Fogs, and find someone in Dfw area to code this beast that would be great.... I am Happy with the purchase but showing my friends get me 9.2 MPG!!!! $hit!

If anyone can help me with the Mods, there is couple of these waiting for ya!!!!

let me know. If you are familiar with the area, I am Close to the Shops of Legacy.

thanks.

ak.

Well, hopefully you didn't take delivery of it before they agreed to fix those things those aren't cheap fixes--I know I wouldn't have. I bought my first X5 from BMW of Dallas 11 years ago and always get it serviced there--I live near downtown. As far as mods in DFW--can't help you there--I always roll stock ha. But let us know how things go.

Oh, for sure, these are definitely things they are going to take care of...

Yep, we did the famous "we Owe" for the items that I listed and then some... Also, if it helps, I do know Eric, ( the owner) so I don't think I will have any problems...

I agree, BMW Dallas has great service also, is where I purchased my X3 when I was in LasColinas, great service, but Classic is 5 min from the house...

As far as Mods, I think the rear fogs should be standard... are they in the rest of the world, Running Boards for ease of getting in and out since this is a pretty high SUV and Angel eyes, just 'cus they look really cool, Oh also I forgot, I will be hard wiring my V1 ......

I will keep you guys posted.... thanks. Ak...
