Dog Management
My wife and I provide foster care for a German Shepherd rescue group here in Northern California. Up until this point, we've managed to transport up to 3 dogs at a time in our old E53 X5 by using a harness shuttle, and keeping the console storage clamshell lid raised to prevent any of our intrepid pooches from wandering too far up between the front seats. Unfortunately, since the console lid is split and opens down the middle between the front seats, we no longer have a natural physical barrier to stop the dogs from trying to venture up front. Does anyone have a tested solution for this? I'm not opposed to putting up some kind of removable barrier, as long as it does not look too clunky and aftermarket like. Along the same lines, I'm also interested in whatever anyone may have used for a cargo compartment mat and 2nd row seat cover. We've looked at a lot of the generic retail covers sold at pet and auto stores (too cheap, too universal), and the OEM covers from BMW (too expensive). What I'm looking for ideally for the seat cover is something that will anchor to the seats an/or headrest so they actually stay on the seats. For the cargo compartment, it would be nice to have something flexible that could be used the full lenght of the compartment when all seats are folded down, but could be folded or rolled up when the 2nd row is up. If anyone has experience with products they can recommend here, any of your inputs would be much appreciated. Thanks, Crash
