x5 m body parts on x5

I have an 2004 x5 right now, i'm thinking about getting either an x6 or newer 2011 x5. I really like the m series body kit but think the engine is overkill, could i put the rear bumber and especially, the rear fender flares on a 5.0 x5? Maybe even change the front if possible...

Thanks, I tried to search but couldn't really find info for the newer x5's I know you can for my years.

I'll update this with what i've found in case anyone else is curious. I looked up on a parts website, the front and back bumper carriers are the same on the m series as regular, so you would just need to change the bumber cover and the fender flares.

I'm not 100% certain if the fender flares would meet up perfectly with the running boards on the regular model, something that might need to be looked into. Also, if you didn't want to change the front bumper, i'm not sure how the larger front fender flares would meet up with the original bumper. Maybe I'll think about just painting the original front fender flares and changing the rear ones and bumper. Randomly, i saw a x5 driving in front of me today with exactly this done. it was a 4.8 so it was not an m series, had the stock front bumper, but m series flares and rear bumper. Looked really clean.

Are you sure you not mistaken 4.8i fender flares from M-Sport/X5M fender flare? They are different. Basically there are 3 types of flares on X5:

1. No flares, stock 3.0is, 3.5
2. Pre-LCI 4.8 flares
3. M-sport and X5M flares (the same).

sorry, I just went on BMW website and designed a new one. I didn't realize you could add an m package to 3.5 and 5.0... That makes it all easier, now I just have to find an '11 with the m-package already on it. Or I guess if I got an 09 or something I could just switch around a few body parts...

PS. What are the pre LCI 4.8 flares?

keep in mind the m-package bumpers aren't -exactly- like the x5m...the x5m has much larger front vents (sacrificing the fog light) and quad exhaust in the back. the flares i believe are the exact same. im perfectly happy with my msport, but just letting u know.
