Strange door pop

Anyone ever heard this before?

I open the drivers door and it makes a weird popping sound at the foldable hinge. Once when it first opens and again at wide open. It was fine with no issues two days ago and yesterday evening I noticed it after the wife drove to the store and back. No bends that I can see. Not a scratch on the vehicle.....
